Summer Supplement Awards
A collaboration between the Department of Sociology and the College of the Liberal Arts, the C2LS was established in May, 2009 to foster the development of research and scholarship in the study of the life course at Penn State University. It is situated organizationally in the College of the Liberal Arts, and is administered by the Department of Sociology.
The purpose of the C2LS Summer Supplement Program is to provide an incentive to graduate students and their mentors to engage in research that is informed by the life course perspective and which will contribute to an understanding of the dynamics of life course processes. These awards are reserved for new and innovative projects that are student-initiated and which engage faculty in a mentoring role only.
Summer supplements in the amount of $1,500 are awarded to each student.
